Step-by-Step Fix for Blue Screen (BSOD)

1️⃣ Restart Your Computer
Sometimes it’s temporary.
If it keeps coming back, continue below.

2️⃣ Disconnect External Devices
Remove:
USB flash drives
External hard drives
Modem / MiFi (very important)
Printer, mouse (leave keyboard only)
Then restart.
👉 You earlier mentioned the blue screen happens when you connect a Glo MiFi — this strongly suggests a driver issue.

3️⃣ Start Windows in Safe Mode
If Windows keeps crashing:
Method:
Turn PC ON
When Windows logo appears → hold Power to force off
Repeat 3 times
You’ll see Automatic Repair
Go to:

Advanced options → Troubleshoot → Advanced options
→ Startup Settings → Restart → Press 4 (Safe Mode)

4️⃣ Update or Remove Network Drivers (Very Important)
Since the issue happens with internet connection:
Press Windows + X
Click Device Manager
Expand Network adapters
Right-click:
Wi-Fi adapter
USB modem / MiFi adapter
Choose Uninstall device
Restart the PC
Windows will reinstall a clean driver automatically
✅ This fixes many MiFi-related BSOD issues.

5️⃣ Run System Repair Commands
Open Command Prompt as Administrator and type one by one:

sfc /scannow

Wait till 100%, then:

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Restart after completion.

6️⃣ Check for Windows Updates
Settings → Update & Security
Windows Update → Check for updates
Install all updates
Outdated Windows = BSOD risk.

7️⃣ Check RAM & Hard Disk
Memory (RAM):
Press Windows + R
Type mdsched.exe
Restart and scan
Hard Disk: Open Command Prompt (Admin):

chkdsk /f /r
Press Y → Restart.

8️⃣ Remove Recently Installed Apps
If BSOD started after:
VPN
Antivirus
Driver software
Modem software
Uninstall it and restart.

9️⃣ Last Option – Reset Windows (Safe)
If nothing works:

Settings → Recovery → Reset this PC
→ Keep my files
