Step 1: Boot your phone into Safe Mode
Press the Power button
When the power menu appears, tap and hold the “Power off” option.
Wait until you see “Safe mode” and then tap “Safe mode” to confirm.
Your phone will restart and boot into Safe Mode.
You’ll usually see a “Safe mode” label on the screen.
Mobile data, Wi‑Fi, and some features may be disabled—that’s normal.

Step 2: Open your apps list in Settings
Unlock your phone in Safe Mode.
Open Settings.
Go to Apps
Make sure you stay in Safe Mode—don’t tap anything that restarts the phone normally.

Step 3: Uninstall Suspicous Apps
Some adware apps are disabled or “deep sleeping” and hide the uninstall option at first.
For each suspicious app:
Tap the app in the list.
If it’s disabled or in deep sleep, first tap Enable.
Then tap Uninstall.
Confirm by tapping OK.
Repeat this for every suspicious app or game you don’t need or don’t recognize.

Step 4: Clear Google app data and cache (optional but helpful)
In Settings → Apps, find Google (or Google Play Services/Google app, depending on your phone).
Tap Storage.
Tap Clear cache.
Tap Clear data (or Manage storage → Clear all data, depending on your device).
This removes stored junk and can help reset behavior related to ads/search.

Step 7: Restart your phone normally
Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons again.
Tap Restart (or Reboot).
Let the phone boot up normally (Safe Mode label should be gone).
Turn off Airplane mode if it’s on, and re‑enable Wi‑Fi/data.
